shayshay hat geschrieben:hahaha well thats true!
wow 1-3 yrs travelling! how come?!?!?!?!

Because I can?

Why not? Gonna spend a heap of money travelling just for camp, why not just go the whole hog while I'm over there. May not get another chance to drop everything and go. Live now!

Oh and don't get me started on tax. I used to pay almos $500/week in tax, but its all relative to what you earn so I don't know why people whinge about paying it! If you are paying more than someone else, it's because you are earning more! It's what makes Australia what it is, without tax we wouldn't have such a great country to live in. It pays for almost everything that we take advantage of every day.

Weekly/fortnightly/monthly pay has no impact at all, its based on annual earnings.

Gah.. spot the accountant..

Sorry, side effect of being a tax accountant in a society that doens't understand its tax system. Tolerance becomes very very low!

Yeah it's not easy.

I take all my lunches to work everyday now to save money, barely drink at all, and if I do i try and be a scungey bastard and let my mates pay, its ok though, the ones that have travelled did it to me when they were going.

But between my kickboxing and training for the Brisbane Marathon.. my food bills are massive! Gots to eat though, and gots to eat the right food, which isn't cheap.

If it's your 21st it should be a cheap weekend!

I know I scored -a lot- of free alcohol at my 21st. Mmmmm.. the only, and the best party I have ever thrown. 70 people into a very small townhouse :)

Gah family? That doesn't count!

My 21st rocked because there as no a single family member there! Just 70 of my closest friends haha :D

Music chosen by me, drinks provided by others, and good company! Was great. No speeches, no embarrassing stuff and no need for anyone to behave themselves!

But yes, for some reason, my 21st seems to be the abnormal one, all other 21'st seem to always be big function things

I'm trying to top my brother at holding a 21st, which will be bloody difficult coz his was an awesome party.. So much happened, so much drama, from small bush fires, to making new friends and then doing shots off them, to seeing a big centipede die from alcohol poisoning (it bit me, and the tequilla in my system poisoned it apparently), to shower scenes, to passing out out back on the trampoline with your best guy mate for a cuddle (it was good tequilla)...

I think my biggest problem is to make sure nobody drowns in our pool..

*sigh* Good times..

Andrew you crack me up!

Having the family over was great....cept for once scene where I had just a little too much fun (couldn't help the bartenders giving me bottles and bottles of wine and double shots hehehehehe) where finally it was time to go home which lead me to passing out on my cousins shoulder.....to then throwing up all over her, all over my brand new dress and myself in the taxi infront of my nana pop uncles and unties.........I will never live it down!

Im just wondering am I going to have to go cold turkey when I go on Camp!!! Wow I don't know if I'd b able to handle it hahahahahahahaha

Apparently my camp has a pub right near it, and we get 5 nights a week off (2 nights in the cabin with campers) and provided we can walk in a straight line back into camp they are pretty good about it all

Will take it easy and let some other people test the boundaries of that rule though.

5 nights a week!!!
You're lucky!
we get 2 nights off and majority of w.e and 2 hrs a day.

we then get this 6 day break right in the middle of camp!
do you get that aswell?!?!?! something about independence day??

Nope, no 6 day break. We get 2 days every 3 week session (4 sessions), and thats it. 5 nights off and during the day we get 2 activities off each day (6 or 7 activities I think)

Since my camps near the Grand Canyon I want to go there during the 6 day break!
Guessing it would be good to have a decent shower and bed lol
