I heard that the US government has cut the visa cap in half for next year, does that affect the amount of visas given out through Camp America??
I want to apply but i don't know if its even worth it now.

My partners sister and her partner both worked in Lake Tahoe during the america winter for 3 months and appiled to go back and work 6months next yer, they appiled in july and just found out about the visa cap being cut and then found out they didn't make the cut.

I'm more than likely very wrong.. but..

If they applied for a normal working visa for the US it would be different to the J-1 Cultural Exchange visa we travel on?

So what affects them may not impact us? I've heard it's incredibly difficult to get a working visa or green card for the US

Hi Guys,

The summer camp J-1 visas does not suffer from a visa cap so apply away!

Cheers,
